2026-27 Europa League Draw Scheduled for August 28
The league phase draw for the 2026-27 Europa League is set for Friday, August 28, at 12:00 BST in Monaco. A total of 36 teams will participate in the draw, with 20 teams already confirmed and the rest to be determined from the final round of Champions League and Europa League qualifying.
Each team will compete against eight different opponents, with four matches at home and four away. The teams will be divided into four pots based on their UEFA club coefficient rankings, with pot one containing the highest-ranked teams. Teams cannot face others from their own country.
The top eight teams will advance to the round of 16, while those ranked ninth to 24th will enter the play-off knockout round. Teams ranked 25th to 36th will be eliminated after the league phase. Notable teams in pot one include Bayer Leverkusen, Juventus, and AC Milan, while Celtic is confirmed for pot two.
