2026 National League Gold Glove Award Finalists Announced
The finalists for the 2026 National League Gold Glove Awards have been announced, showcasing three players from each position. The winners will be revealed on November 1.
This year marks the return of a utility player category, which has not been included since 2022. Voting for the finalists involves managers and up to six coaches from each MLB team, contributing 75% of the total votes, while the remaining 25% comes from the SABR Defensive Index.
Among the finalists are Michael McGreevy of the St. Louis Cardinals and Nolan McLean of the New York Mets for pitcher, while Freddy Fermin of the San Diego Padres and Gabriel Moreno of the Arizona Diamondbacks are contenders for catcher. Other notable finalists include Ty France at first base and JJ Wetherholt at second base, both recognized for their exceptional defensive performances this season.
