2026 Sports Equinox Unites Major Leagues

The 2026 Sports Equinox takes place today, October 26, bringing together major sports leagues including MLB, NFL, NBA, and NHL. This unique event occurs when the World Series coincides with the start of the NBA season.

This year's Sports Equinox is notable as it marks the 33rd occurrence since the first event on October 17, 1971. Fans can enjoy a full schedule of games across all four leagues, making it a special day for sports enthusiasts.

While the focus is on these four leagues, other sports organizations like MLS, NWSL, and WNBA can also participate, although their involvement is not required for the event to be recognized as an Equinox.
