2027 NFL Draft Stock Update After Week 8 of College Football
The Week 8 college football games led to significant changes in the 2027 NFL Draft stock. Notably, BYU faced an unexpected loss to UCF, and several teams ranked between seventh and fifteenth in the AP poll suffered defeats on the road.
Oregon, despite having nine players in the top 150 of PFF's draft board, is seeing many of their stocks drop as the team struggles. In contrast, UCLA has risen to No. 7 nationally with only two players in the top 150, one being an injured quarterback. Wake Forest, now ranked No. 14, has no players listed among the top prospects but is expected to change that.
Darian Mensah, the Miami quarterback, is leading college football with a 92.5 overall PFF grade and had a standout performance against Pittsburgh, throwing for 387 yards and four touchdowns. He is now a frontrunner for the Heisman Trophy and is being considered as a top-five draft pick. Meanwhile, Luke Reynolds, a tight end at Virginia Tech, is excelling with the highest PFF grade among tight ends this season, showcasing his dual-threat capability as both a receiver and blocker.
