2027 Pro Football Hall of Fame Candidates Include Roethlisberger and Gronkowski
The Pro Football Hall of Fame is looking ahead to its 2027 class, which will include several notable first-time eligible players. Among them are Ben Roethlisberger, Antonio Brown, Adrian Peterson, Rob Gronkowski, and Cam Newton.
Rob Gronkowski, a former tight end for the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers, is recognized as one of the top pass catchers in NFL history. He has achieved four First-Team All-Pro selections and holds the record for the most receiving touchdowns by a tight end. Adrian Peterson, a former running back for the Minnesota Vikings, is celebrated for his rushing prowess, having won the NFL MVP award in 2012 and coming close to breaking the single-season rushing record.
Antonio Brown, who had a successful career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, earned five consecutive All-Pro selections and was part of the Buccaneers' Super Bowl-winning team in 2021. Additionally, former offensive lineman Andrew Whitworth and quarterback Eli Manning are also in the conversation for induction, with Manning's postseason success being a significant factor in his candidacy.
