38 Teams Set for Southern 500 at Darlington

This weekend, the Southern 500 at Darlington Raceway will host 38 drivers and teams for its 77th edition, making it a key event in the NASCAR Cup season.

Joey Logano will lead the field in the No. 22 Team Penske Ford. This race is the fourth and final crown jewel of the season, with entries lower than other crown jewel events this year, such as the Daytona 500, which had 45 entries.

Among the participants are Corey Heim in the No. 67 Toyota for 23XI Racing and Chad Finchum in the No. 66 Ford for Garage 66. Chase Briscoe, a two-time winner of the Southern 500, aims to achieve a third consecutive victory, a feat last accomplished by Jeff Gordon from 1995 to 1998.
