49ers Activate WR Christian Kirk's Practice Window
The San Francisco 49ers have announced the opening of wide receiver Christian Kirk's 21-day practice window as he makes his return from injured reserve.
Kirk has been out since suffering a calf injury during training camp. Last season, he recorded 28 receptions for 239 yards and one touchdown over 13 games with the Texans. His return could be crucial as Deebo Samuel is currently dealing with a hamstring issue.
Kirk, a second-round pick by the Cardinals in 2018, has accumulated 432 receptions for 5,415 yards and 30 touchdowns throughout his career. In addition, the 49ers have signed defensive lineman Ogbo Okoronkwo to the 53-man roster from the practice squad, where he has made a sack and three quarterback hits this season. Linebacker Eugene Asante has also been added to the practice squad.
