49ers Consider Kicker Change After Piñiero's Struggles

The San Francisco 49ers are contemplating a change at kicker as they head into their bye week, potentially parting ways with Eddy Piñiero.

Piñeiro missed another extra point during the team's recent loss to the Falcons, bringing his total to four missed extra points and three missed field goals over seven games. Coach Kyle Shanahan indicated that discussions about the kicking situation would take place during the bye week, although he has not yet spoken to Piñeiro about his performance.

The missed extra point in the game against the Falcons proved critical, leaving the 49ers trailing by six points late in the fourth quarter and allowing the Falcons to extend their lead, complicating the 49ers' chances of a comeback.
