49ers Face Challenge from Falcons' Bijan Robinson

The San Francisco 49ers, recognized as one of the NFL's top defensive teams this season, are preparing for a potential challenge against the Atlanta Falcons in Week 7, particularly due to their struggles against the run.

Currently, the 49ers rank sixth in expected points added per play allowed and fourth in yards per play allowed. Despite their overall defensive success, they have shown vulnerability in stopping opposing running games, which could be problematic against Bijan Robinson, a key offensive player for Atlanta.

Robinson has accumulated 641 rushing yards on 111 carries, averaging 5.8 yards per attempt. The 49ers must improve their ability to disrupt running plays near the line of scrimmage to contain him effectively. Additionally, the matchup holds significance for 49ers defensive coordinator Raheem Morris, who previously coached the Falcons and now faces his former team.
