49ers Practice Sees 20 Players Injured
The San Francisco 49ers experienced a challenging practice session on Wednesday, as injuries continued to plague the team during training camp this summer.
Initially, 18 players were absent from the 90-man roster, and the number increased to 20 when defensive end Sam Okuayinonu and guard Nick Zakelj exited the practice due to injuries.
Among the injured were offensive lineman Carver Willis, fullback Kyle Juszczyk, and several wide receivers, including Jacob Cowing and Christian Kirk. Additionally, tight end George Kittle and others remain on the physically unable to perform list. The team has also placed five players on injured reserve, and head coach Kyle Shanahan has not yet returned to full duties following a car accident prior to camp.
