49ers QB Kurtis Rourke Exits Game Due to Rib Injury

Kurtis Rourke, the third-string quarterback for the 49ers, left the game with a rib injury during a matchup on Thursday night. This occurred after a 1-yard touchdown run by Patrick Taylor with 8:38 left in the first half.

Rourke may have sustained the injury two plays prior while attempting a 3-yard run. Following the incident, he was evaluated in the sideline medical tent before heading to the training room with medical staff. The team later confirmed his rib injury and indicated he is questionable to return.

Adrian Martinez stepped in to replace Rourke for the remainder of the game. Rourke had completed 12 of 14 passes for 100 yards and gained 14 yards on three rushing attempts before his exit. Additionally, cornerback Jack Jones also left the game due to a right hand injury and has been ruled out.
