49ers Re-sign Tight End Khalil Dinkins

The San Francisco 49ers have re-signed tight end Khalil Dinkins to their roster on Saturday.

Dinkins initially joined the team after going undrafted in April but was waived from the non-football injury list in July. In a related move, defensive lineman Xavier Thomas was also waived with an injury designation.

During his college career at Penn State, Dinkins recorded 37 receptions for 399 yards and seven touchdowns over 49 games. George Kittle is currently on the physically unable to perform list, but the team is optimistic about his return for the regular season. Other tight ends on the roster include Jake Tonges, Luke Farrell, Brayden Willis, Hayden Rucci, and Josiah Deguara.
