49ers Receiver Mike Evans Misses Practice Due to Achilles Soreness
Mike Evans, a wide receiver for the San Francisco 49ers, did not participate in practice on Thursday due to soreness in his Achilles. This injury comes as he has been managing an existing rib injury.
Coach Kyle Shanahan confirmed the Achilles issue, while other players also missed practice. Defensive end Nick Bosa continued to be sidelined with a calf injury, and defensive tackle Gracen Halton was added to the injury report with a quadriceps problem.
Additionally, running back Christian McCaffrey, wide receiver Deebo Samuel, safety Marques Sigle, defensive tackle James Thompson, linebacker Garret Wallow, and left tackle Trent Williams were absent for various reasons, including rest and injuries. Shanahan mentioned that Samuel could potentially be placed on injured reserve. Meanwhile, wide receiver Christian Kirk's 21-day return-to-practice window was opened as he recovers from injured reserve.
