49ers Release Matthew Judon from Practice Squad

The San Francisco 49ers announced the release of defensive end Matthew Judon from their practice squad on Saturday.

This decision allows defensive end Ogbo Okoronkwo to return to the practice squad after being cut from the active roster on Friday to facilitate the activation of Mykel Williams from the reserve/PUP list.

Judon was signed to the practice squad on September 28 and was elevated to the active roster for a game against the Broncos, where he recorded one tackle during 14 defensive snaps. He played 14 games for two teams last season and became a free agent in January after being released by the Bills.
