49ers' Ricky Pearsall to Miss 2026 Season Due to Knee Injury

San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Ricky Pearsall will not participate in the 2026 season due to a knee injury that requires surgery. This announcement was made by John Lynch, the team's President of Football Operations, on Saturday.

Pearsall, who is entering his third year, had previously recorded 36 receptions for 528 yards in the 2025 season, but his performance was hampered by the injury, limiting him to nine regular-season games and one playoff appearance. He was drafted by the 49ers as the 31st pick in the 2024 NFL Draft after a challenging rookie season.

In response to Pearsall's injury, the 49ers have made several roster moves, including signing veteran wide receiver Deebo Samuel and six-time Pro Bowler Mike Evans. Additionally, they selected De'Zhaun Stribling in the 2026 NFL Draft to bolster their receiving corps.
