49ers Sign Defensive End Viliami Fehoko
The San Francisco 49ers have signed defensive end Viliami Fehoko to enhance their pass rush, as reported by the NFL's transaction wire on Monday.
This signing coincided with the release of tight end Josiah Deguara. Fehoko was originally a fourth-round pick by the Dallas Cowboys in 2023 but faced challenges during his rookie season due to a knee injury that placed him on injured reserve.
After being waived by the Cowboys prior to his second season, Fehoko joined the Washington Commanders' practice squad late in the 2024 season, only to be waived again during training camp in 2025. He also spent time on the Indianapolis Colts' practice squad last season, but has yet to appear in a regular-season game. The 49ers are looking to strengthen their defensive line as rookie defensive end Romello Height is currently dealing with an injury.
