49ers WR Mike Evans Ruled Out After Aggravating Achilles Injury
Mike Evans, wide receiver for the 49ers, has been ruled out for the remainder of the game after aggravating an Achilles injury. He had three receptions for 94 yards before the injury occurred.
Evans entered the game with existing soreness in his Achilles and aggravated the condition late in the first half. He was listed as questionable for the second half as the 49ers led 20-3 at halftime.
After catching a 16-yard pass from Brock Purdy with just over a minute left in the first half, Evans remained on the ground and subsequently walked to the training room for treatment. He did not return to the sideline after halftime. Prior to this game, Evans had recorded 24 catches for 326 yards and three touchdowns.
