Aaron Donald's Playing Time May Increase Due to Injuries
Aaron Donald, the 35-year-old defensive tackle for the Los Angeles Rams, may see an increase in his playing time due to injuries affecting the team's defensive line. Donald returned last month after a two-year retirement and is prepared to take on more reps as needed.
This week, the Rams placed nose tackle Poona Ford and defensive end Kobie Turner on injured reserve, while linebacker Myles Garrett has been on IR since shortly after Week 1. Donald has played varying snap counts in recent games, with 33 snaps in Week 2, 35 in Week 3, 43 in Week 5, and 42 in Week 6.
Defensive coordinator Chris Shula noted that the flow of the game will influence Donald's playing time, suggesting that if the game is close, he might play more snaps than usual. As the Rams prepare to face the 3-3 Raiders, they may rely on Donald to perform at a high level to improve their record from 2-5.
