Aaron Glenn Reflects on Timeout Decisions After Jets' Loss
The New York Jets, under head coach Aaron Glenn, faced criticism for their clock management during a recent game against the Miami Dolphins, where they lost 28-25. Heading into the game, the Jets had been outscored 100-6 in the final two minutes of first halves since Glenn's hiring.
In the game, Glenn opted not to use any timeouts while the Dolphins were in possession after the two-minute warning. This decision came back to haunt the Jets when Dolphins quarterback Malik Willis scored a touchdown, leaving only six seconds on the clock. Glenn later acknowledged that using timeouts might have been a better strategy, as it could have allowed the Jets to regain possession before halftime.
This incident is not the first time Glenn's management of timeouts has been questioned, raising concerns about his future as head coach as the Jets continue to struggle in critical game situations.
