Aaron Judge Cleared for Light Workouts as He Aims for Return
Aaron Judge, the captain of the New York Yankees, has received clearance to begin light workout activities as he recovers from a rib injury that has kept him sidelined since May 31. He expressed confidence in returning to play this season.
On Wednesday, Judge was seen on the field engaging in stretching, jogging, and resistance band exercises after undergoing a recent scan that indicated progress in his recovery. Although he is eager to return, he acknowledged that he still needs to advance to hitting before he can rejoin the lineup.
Judge is currently on the 60-day injured list due to a stress fracture in his right rib. This season, he has recorded a batting average of .248 with 17 home runs and 38 RBIs. The Yankees have struggled offensively in his absence, and they recently made roster changes to bolster their lineup as they chase a playoff spot.
