Aaron Rodgers Discusses Potential for International Games in NFL
Aaron Rodgers, the quarterback for the Steelers, has shared insights regarding the NFL's potential for international games, suggesting that discussions during the 2020 Collective Bargaining Agreement included the idea of a full week dedicated to such events.
Following a recent victory in Paris, Rodgers noted that the league could have hosted 16 games across 16 different countries. He expressed enthusiasm for the expansion of the game internationally, despite acknowledging that not all players may support the idea of playing abroad annually.
Rodgers emphasized the benefits of an international week, advocating for teams to engage more with local cultures and communities during their visits. However, he also pointed out the league's cautious financial approach, which may hinder such initiatives. While the prospect of 16 international games appears likely, the feasibility of scheduling them all in one week remains uncertain.
