Aaron Rodgers Surpasses Peyton Manning in Touchdown Passes During Steelers' Victory
Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Aaron Rodgers achieved a milestone during a game against the New Orleans Saints in Paris, surpassing Hall of Famer Peyton Manning for the third-most touchdown passes in NFL history. This occurred midway through the second quarter when Rodgers completed a four-yard touchdown pass to tight end Darnell Washington, giving the Steelers a 10-3 lead.
This touchdown was Rodgers' only one in the game, which ended with the Steelers winning 16-10, improving their record to 5-2, while the Saints fell to 2-5. Rodgers played in his 271st game and made his 264th start, while Manning had thrown 539 touchdown passes in 266 games.
Despite different career paths, both quarterbacks are recognized among the best in NFL history, and Rodgers is expected to join Manning in the Pro Football Hall of Fame upon retirement.
