AB de Villiers Critiques Pakistan Players' Commitment After England Loss

AB de Villiers, the former captain of South Africa, has raised concerns about the commitment of Pakistan's cricket players after their disappointing performance during the England tour. The team, led by Babar Azam, faced heavy losses in the first two Tests at Headingley and Lord's, prompting the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) to make significant changes, including sending seven players home and replacing the Test coach.

De Villiers noted that the players need to take responsibility for their performances, questioning their willingness to put in the necessary effort, especially in challenging conditions. He highlighted that Pakistan struggled with their batting, failing to score 200 runs in any of their four innings across the two Tests, which he attributed to a lack of character and fight.

While de Villiers criticized the players, he also pointed to the instability within the PCB as a contributing factor to the team's decline. He emphasized the need for consistent leadership and expressed hope that Pakistan could regain their competitive edge in cricket.
