Abdul Abdulmalik Seeks Exit from Boreham Wood After Transfer Offer Rejected
Abdul Abdulmalik, a forward for Boreham Wood, has requested to leave the club following the rejection of a £1.5 million offer from Swedish team Djurgarden. The 23-year-old joined Boreham Wood as a free agent in 2024 and has attracted significant interest after a successful season.
Earlier this month, Djurgarden's initial bid of £1 million was also turned down. Boreham Wood's manager, Luke Garrard, emphasized that Abdulmalik is an important player for the team, particularly after he was not included in the squad for a recent match against Forest Green.
Abdulmalik, who had a standout season in 2025-26 with 17 goals and 10 assists, expressed his desire to prove himself and reach higher levels in football. He acknowledged the support from Boreham Wood and its fans while stating that he is ready for the next challenge in his career.
