Abhishek Sharma Tops ICC T20I Batting Rankings After Century

On October 28, 2026, Abhishek Sharma regained the world No. 1 spot in the ICC men's T20 International batting rankings after scoring 113 runs off 38 balls in a match against New Zealand in Wellington.

This performance helped India secure a six-wicket victory and allowed Sharma to surpass teammate Ishan Kishan, who dropped to third place due to an injury that kept him out of the second and third T20Is of the series.

Sharma now holds 897 rating points, while Sahibzada Farhan of Pakistan is in second place with 883 points, and Kishan has 866 points. Meanwhile, India's T20I captain Shreyas Iyer has fallen to ninth place in the rankings.
