AC Milan and Inter Reveal Plans for Generali Stadium
AC Milan and Inter have announced their plans for a new stadium named Generali Stadium, which will have a capacity of 71,500 seats, replacing the iconic San Siro.
The stadium design, influenced by Milan's architectural heritage, is part of a larger urban regeneration project covering 281,000 square meters in the San Siro district. The venue will feature a distinctive exposed concrete X-frame and a double-curved roof, aiming to create an atmosphere similar to that of the current San Siro.
Construction is set to commence in 2028, with the goal of hosting its inaugural match during the 2031/32 season, pending final planning approvals. The new stadium is also expected to play a role in Italy's hosting of Euro 2032.
