Adam Copeland Discusses Ongoing Effects of AEW Injury
Adam Copeland has revealed that he continues to experience the effects of an injury he sustained during AEW Double or Nothing 2024. In a Barbed Wire Steel Cage match, Copeland defended the AEW TNT Championship against Malakai Black, during which he suffered a broken tibia after performing an elbow drop onto Black through a table.
The injury sidelined Copeland for seven months and resulted in him being stripped of the championship. In a recent interview, he expressed that he does not regret the risky move but acknowledged that the injury still affects him, causing occasional instability in his leg due to the presence of a plate and screws from the surgery.
Currently, Copeland holds the AEW World Tag Team Championship alongside Christian Cage, with a title defense scheduled against the Young Bucks at All In: London later this month.
