Adam Copeland Reflects on His Move to AEW and Career Revival
Adam Copeland, known as Edge in WWE, transitioned to AEW in October 2023 after his WWE contract expired. Many fans believed he would finish his career with WWE, but he found new success in AEW, winning the TNT Championship twice and currently holding the AEW World Tag Team Championships with Christian Cage.
In a recent appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show, Copeland shared that his move to AEW was motivated by a desire for enjoyment rather than just title pursuits. He felt he had accomplished most of what he could in WWE and was contemplating retirement until he considered AEW's roster and discussed his options with his daughters.
Copeland expressed that he believes he would have retired if AEW had not been an option, noting that his time in AEW has revitalized his passion for wrestling. He highlighted the talent within AEW, including Samoa Joe, and emphasized that the fun aspect of wrestling remains crucial for him.
