Adley Rutschman Set for Red Sox Debut Against Blue Jays
Adley Rutschman has been activated from the injured list and is set to make his debut for the Boston Red Sox on Tuesday night against the Toronto Blue Jays in Toronto.
Rutschman had been sidelined since mid-July due to left wrist inflammation, marking his third stint on the injured list this season. He was acquired by the Red Sox from the Baltimore Orioles on August 3 in a significant trade that included several prospects.
Manager Chad Tracy has placed Rutschman third in the batting order for the game. His return comes at a time when the Red Sox have lost three consecutive games, following a strong performance that saw them win 32 out of 37 games, significantly improving their standing in the playoff race.
