Adriana Rizzo Comments on WWE Departure Following NXT Cuts
Adriana Rizzo has shared a statement following her departure from WWE, which occurred as part of NXT roster cuts on Friday. She was among several individuals released, including Jasper Troy and Wendy Choo, and had been with WWE since 2022.
In her statement, Rizzo expressed that she spent a significant portion of her time with WWE dealing with injuries, including an Achilles rupture and surgeries on her ACL and meniscus. She noted the difficulty of her departure, emphasizing her desire to showcase her capabilities after overcoming these challenges.
Rizzo, a five-time NCAA All-American in track and field, returned to the ring this summer after a lengthy recovery. Her last match took place on August 21 at an NXT house show in Venice, Florida, where she faced PJ Vasa, who was also released. Rizzo concluded her message by expressing gratitude to those who supported her and hinted at future endeavors.
