AEW Dynamite Experiences Ratings Drop During Halloween Special
On October 28, All Elite Wrestling hosted the Fright Night edition of AEW Dynamite in St. Louis, Missouri, celebrating the Halloween season. Queen Aminata claimed her first AEW title by defeating Persephone to become the new AEW TBS Champion, while Darby Allin retained his AEW TNT Championship against Josh Alexander. Additionally, Kyle Fletcher challenged Will Ospreay for the AEW World Championship, setting the stage for the main event at AEW Full Gear 2026.
Despite the festive atmosphere, the show experienced a decline in television ratings, averaging 620,000 viewers, which is a 6% decrease from the previous week's 661,000 viewers and 18% below the four-week average of 758,000 viewers. This marked the lowest ratings since the Grand Slam France special and the lowest in its regular Wednesday slot since September 9. The average viewership for October and the fourth quarter of 2026 stands at 665,000, significantly higher than the averages from the previous year.
The 18-49 demographic also saw a drop, with a rating of 0.14, down 7% from the previous week. The Fright Night special was 18% lower than the four-week average of 0.17 but still managed to secure second place in its timeslot, trailing behind the NBA. In the 25-54 demographic, the show achieved a rating of 0.21.
