AEW Honors Andy 'The Butcher' Williams with Battle Royal

AEW paid tribute to Andy 'The Butcher' Williams on Saturday during a battle royal held in Springfield, Massachusetts.

The main event, named the Butcher Battle Royal, featured Daniel Garcia and Josh Alexander as the final two competitors. Garcia, who has ties to Williams through their shared Buffalo roots, eliminated Alexander to secure victory and a $100,000 donation to a charity of his choice in Williams' name.

Following the match, Garcia placed a guitar used by Williams and a memorial sign in the ring, accompanied by a video tribute set to music from Every Time I Die. The event concluded with the locker room gathering as Williams' music played. Additionally, Tony Schiavone announced that a previously unaired house show titled The House Always Wins will be available for streaming on MyAEW starting the following day.
