AEW WrestleDream 2026: Key Winners and Losers Revealed
Following AEW WrestleDream 2026, the wrestling community is reflecting on the event's notable winners and losers. The show featured numerous title matches and introduced the Clockwork Carnage match, which received positive feedback despite initial skepticism.
The Clockwork Carnage match was highlighted as a major success, showcasing the talents of various wrestlers, including Adam Copeland, who added a sentimental touch to the event. The match's format, reminiscent of a gauntlet eliminator that transitions into a multi-man Iron Man match, was well-suited to the AEW roster's skills.
In contrast, the AEW TBS Title Four-Way Match was criticized for lacking drama, particularly regarding the performance of champion Persephone. Additionally, the tag team match involving Kyle Fletcher and Kevin Knight against The Young Bucks was seen as detrimental to their careers, as they were not positioned to succeed in such a high-profile setting. Meanwhile, Ilja Dragunov's transition from WWE to AEW is anticipated to allow him to showcase his intense wrestling style more freely, while Mark Davis's loss to Jon Moxley raises questions about his future trajectory in the promotion.
