AEW WrestleDream 2026: Match Highlights and Concerns
AEW WrestleDream 2026 is set to take place this weekend in Orlando, Florida, featuring seven championship matches, including the inaugural Clockwork Carnage match for the world title and a two-out-of-three falls contest for the world trios titles.
The women's tag team division is facing challenges as the one-year anniversary of the AEW Women's World Tag Team Championships approaches. Currently, only three actual tag teams exist, with Harley Cameron and Kris Statlander competing against The Brawling Birds, raising questions about the division's direction.
In contrast, the match between Swerve Strickland and The New Level against Adam Page and Brodido is generating excitement due to its compelling backstory and the rarity of the two-out-of-three falls stipulation in AEW. Meanwhile, the matchup between Kevin Knight, Kyle Fletcher, and The Young Bucks is viewed less favorably, as it appears to lack drama and significance. The Clockwork Carnage match, featuring eight competitors including Will Ospreay, promises to be a highlight of the event, showcasing a unique format that has intrigued fans.
