AEW WrestleDream 2026 Review: Highlights and Lowlights
Wrestling Inc. reviewed AEW WrestleDream 2026, which took place in Orlando and featured significant matches including a tag team championship bout and the introduction of Ilja Dragunov to the roster. The review highlighted both positive and negative aspects of the event.
Among the praised performances was the AEW Women's World Championship match between Mercedes Mone and Thekla, which showcased the talents of both wrestlers and set a strong tone for the evening. Conversely, the review criticized the inclusion of enhancement matches, particularly one featuring Wardlow, arguing that such matches detracted from the overall quality of the event.
The review also expressed disappointment with the main event, Clockwork Carnage, suggesting it lacked the urgency expected from a pay-per-view finale. The match was deemed more suitable for a themed show rather than a world title event, with calls for future iterations to be refined before being featured prominently again.
