AFL Ends Long Partnership with Select Trading Cards

Select Trading Cards has announced that its licensing agreement with the AFL will terminate on October 31, 2026, marking the end of a nearly 40-year partnership. The announcement was made on Saturday, with Select's founder expressing disappointment over the AFL's new licensing arrangements.

The collaboration began in 1989, during which Select produced 167 series of trading cards and stickers, along with various AFL collectibles. The founder highlighted the support from collectors and the relationships built with players and their managers throughout the years.

Select's final AFL product will be 'Eminence', and the company will honor all outstanding redemptions. Additionally, collectors will have until December 31, 2026, to purchase remaining products from Select's archives.
