The race for the AFL MVP title is heating up as the 2026 season approaches its conclusion, with Sydney's Isaac Heeney, Melbourne's Max Gawn, and Brisbane's Will Ashcroft competing for a podium finish. Heeney currently leads the pack following a strong performance against Essendon, while Gawn's efforts against Port Adelaide have also been recognized.
Ashcroft has made significant strides, moving into the top five after an impressive outing in the QClash, where he earned 20 votes and the Marcus Ashcroft Medal. Other players who delivered perfect performances include Izak Rankine from Adelaide, Max Hall from St Kilda, Kade Chandler from Melbourne, Beau McCreery from Collingwood, Ed Richards from the Western Bulldogs, and Mark Blicavs from Geelong.
Each week, a panel from Zero Hanger assigns votes for every game, and the player with the highest total at the end of the season will be named the Zero Hanger MVP, supported by Winning Edge Presentations.
