Ahmad Hardy Returns to Practice with Missouri After Gunshot Injury
Ahmad Hardy, an All-American running back, has resumed practice with No. 23 Missouri nearly six months after sustaining a leg injury from a shooting incident in Mississippi. His participation in practice was confirmed by Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz, who noted that Hardy was fully involved during a recent session.
Drinkwitz mentioned that Hardy would need approximately two weeks to regain his football conditioning, but he refrained from providing a specific timeline for his return to gameplay. Hardy was shot while attending a concert in May, leading to the insertion of a metal rod in his femur due to the severity of his injuries.
Missouri has managed without Hardy, thanks to Jamal Roberts, who has excelled in the lead running back position. The Tigers are currently preparing for a game against rival Arkansas, but Drinkwitz emphasized that Hardy's health and ability to protect himself will dictate when he can return to play.
