Hawthorn forward Aidan Schubert aims to join the Gold Coast Suns following significant changes to his current team's forward lineup.
Aidan Schubert, a young key forward from Hawthorn, is looking to transfer to the Gold Coast Suns due to recent changes in his club's forward structure.
The impending arrival of Ben King at Gold Coast, along with the commitments of Calsher Dear and the presence of Mitch Lewis, Jack Gunston, and Mabior Chol, has influenced Schubert's decision. Initially resistant to a move, he has reconsidered in light of these developments.
This potential trade is separate from King's situation, which is tied to his restricted free agency. Schubert, who was selected with pick 23 in the 2025 National Draft, played only one game for Hawthorn in the 2026 season.
