A.J. Brown and Jalen Hurts Reconnect After Trade
Patriots wide receiver A.J. Brown disclosed on Wednesday that he had not communicated with Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts since his trade from Philadelphia. This changed on Thursday when the two players met briefly after a joint practice, as reported by Tim McManus of ESPN.
The encounter appeared friendly, with both players smiling and shaking hands. During his four seasons with the Eagles, Brown recorded 339 receptions for 5,034 yards and 32 touchdowns, earning two Pro Bowl selections and contributing to the team's Super Bowl victory. Despite their past closeness, Brown had expressed frustration with his role in the offense, leading to his trade request, which was fulfilled on June 1.
This week, both Brown and Hurts seemed focused on moving forward as they prepare for the upcoming season.
