A.J. Brown May Return for Patriots vs. Jets Matchup
A.J. Brown, wide receiver for the New England Patriots, might return to the field on Sunday when the team faces the New York Jets in Foxborough, Massachusetts. Brown practiced on Wednesday for the first time since suffering a high ankle sprain during a Week 1 loss to Seattle.
The Patriots have a 21-day window to activate Brown from injured reserve. Coach Mike Vrabel noted that they will assess Brown's readiness in the coming days. In his last game, Brown recorded three receptions for 26 yards before his injury.
The Jets, who recently ended a three-game losing streak with a victory over Cleveland, have been performing well, committing only three turnovers in five games. Quarterback Geno Smith has thrown six touchdown passes without any interceptions. New England's defense will face challenges as they may be without key players due to injuries.
