A.J. Brown to be Placed on Injured Reserve by Patriots
The New England Patriots are preparing to place wide receiver A.J. Brown on injured reserve following an injury he sustained during his debut game. Brown, who joined the Patriots from the Philadelphia Eagles, played on Wednesday against the Seattle Seahawks, where the team lost 13-10.
During the game, Brown suffered a high-ankle sprain and is expected to be sidelined for at least four weeks. He recorded three catches for 26 receiving yards before the injury. Although ESPN's Adam Schefter reported the move to IR, it has not yet been officially confirmed.
Brown's absence comes as the Patriots face a challenging schedule, including upcoming games against the Pittsburgh Steelers, Jacksonville Jaguars, and Buffalo Bills. He may be eligible to return for a matchup against the New York Jets on October 18.
