AJ Terrell's Practice Window May Open Soon for Falcons
AJ Terrell, the cornerback for the Atlanta Falcons, has missed four games due to a groin injury but is now eligible to return from injured reserve. Reports suggest that the team is likely to open his 21-day practice window this week, according to head coach Kevin Stefanski.
During Terrell's absence, C.J. Henderson stepped in for additional playing time. Although Henderson has struggled since being drafted ninth overall in 2020, he has performed well this season with 25 tackles and six pass breakups over five games. However, he also suffered a groin injury in a recent game against the Ravens, missing the Falcons' loss to the Bears.
With both Terrell and Henderson unavailable, the Falcons faced challenges against the Bears, allowing quarterback Caleb Williams to complete a high percentage of passes. Once Terrell returns, he is expected to reclaim his position as the team's top cornerback, while Henderson could start opposite him. The Falcons, currently struggling defensively, will face the undefeated 49ers next, making the return of their key players crucial.
