ALCS Game 4 Rescheduled; Woodruff's Potential Return for Brewers

October 17 marks a significant date in Pirates history, as the team clinched its last two World Series titles on this day in 1971 and 1979, both in Game 7 against the Orioles.

Due to rain, Game 4 of the ALCS has been moved to tonight at 7 PM CT in Cleveland, where the Rays will face the Guardians. Nick Martinez will pitch for the Rays against Guardians opener Shawn Armstrong. The postponement has altered the series schedule, potentially affecting the pitching strategies of both teams.

Brandon Woodruff's return to the Brewers is being considered as the team advances toward the World Series. Initially expected to undergo shoulder surgery, Woodruff's condition improved, allowing him to start a throwing program. However, he has not pitched in a game since July 4, raising questions about his readiness for the postseason. Meanwhile, the Mariners are reportedly interested in Rocco Baldelli for their managerial position, adding to their list of candidates.
