ALDS Game 5 Preview: White Sox vs. Guardians and Dodgers' NLDS Plans

On October 10, 2026, the White Sox will compete against the Guardians in the fifth and final game of the American League Division Series (ALDS) at 7pm CT in Cleveland. This game follows a series where Sean Burke is set to start for Chicago, having previously limited the Guardians to one run in Game 2.

Gavin Williams, who pitched in both Game 2 and Game 4, will take the mound for Cleveland. The winner of this matchup will advance to face the Rays in the American League Championship Series (ALCS) on Monday.

In the National League, the Dodgers are preparing to start Tarik Skubal in Game 1 of the NLDS against the Brewers on Sunday, with Yoshinobu Yamamoto slated for Game 2. Both pitchers have demonstrated strong postseason performances, contributing to the Dodgers' success. Meanwhile, the Athletics are reportedly nearing a decision on their new front office leader, with several candidates under consideration.
