
Alec Pierce Returns to Practice, Aiming for Week 1
Colts receiver Alec Pierce returned to practice on Thursday after being removed from the physically unable to perform list following ankle surgery during the offseason.
Pierce expressed that he is on track for the upcoming season, stating that his goal is to be ready for Week 1. He mentioned the adjustment of getting back on the field and working with teammates, emphasizing the importance of regaining timing with the quarterbacks.
Despite the challenges of returning, Pierce noted the support from his teammates during his recovery. Head coach Shane Steichen acknowledged Pierce's return as a positive development as the team prepares for the season. Last year, Pierce recorded 47 receptions for 1,003 yards and six touchdowns, leading the league in yards per reception for two consecutive seasons.
