Alex Marquez Highlights Challenges for Brother Marc in Upcoming MotoGP Races
Alex Marquez has indicated that his brother Marc Marquez will encounter greater challenges in the MotoGP title race in the upcoming rounds, especially with Aprilia expected to excel at tracks like Phillip Island, Qatar, and Portimao.
During the Indonesian Grand Prix, Marc finished sixth, trailing race winner Marco Bezzecchi by 10.7 seconds, while Aprilia secured the top four positions for the first time in its history. This performance highlights the difficulties Marc faces in his championship pursuit, with Aprilia's Jorge Martin emerging as a key competitor.
Marc Marquez concluded the weekend with 22 points, matching the tally of championship leader Jorge Martin, who maintains a two-point lead. Alex noted that Ducati's struggles in Indonesia were partly due to issues with the rear tyre construction, which will not be used again this season. He emphasized that Aprilia's strong lineup may prompt Ducati to consider team orders to support Marc's title bid as the season progresses.
