Alex Palou Leads Odds for Freedom 250 in Washington D.C.
The INDYCAR Series will host the Freedom 250 in Washington D.C. on August 23, with coverage starting at 8:30 a.m. ET on FOX and FOX One. This inaugural race commemorates the 250th anniversary of the United States, taking place on a 1.7-mile, seven-turn course that includes the National Mall.
As of August 18, Alex Palou is the favorite to win with odds of 7/5, followed by Kyle Kirkwood at 16/5. Other drivers in contention include Christian Lundgaard at 15/2 and Marcus Ericsson at 8/1. Palou currently leads the championship standings, having secured six wins this season.
Kirkwood, who previously won the season's inaugural race at Arlington, is looking to improve after a disappointing performance at Markham, where he finished 21st. The upcoming race presents a new challenge for all drivers as they prepare for the unique street course in D.C.
