Alex Pereira to Leave Heavyweight Division if He Loses at UFC 335

Alex Pereira has announced that he will depart from the heavyweight division if he experiences a loss in his upcoming fight against Sergei Pavlovich at UFC 335. This decision comes after a series of frustrations regarding his performance since moving up from light heavyweight.

Pereira, who has faced challenges in adapting to the heavyweight class, is set to compete later this year. He has expressed a strong desire to avoid becoming a stepping stone in the division and indicated that he would consider returning to light heavyweight if his performance does not improve.

In a recent interview, Pereira shared his dissatisfaction with previous fight arrangements and noted that he believed facing Josh Hokit would have been a more favorable matchup than the one against Pavlovich. He plans to weigh in approximately 10 pounds lighter for this fight, aiming for a more effective performance after his earlier loss to Ciryl Gane.
