Alex Pereira's Next Heavyweight Fight Targeted by Glover Teixeira After Title Loss
Alex Pereira is determined to continue his quest for a third UFC title after his recent loss to Ciryl Gane. The Brazilian fighter was unable to make history as the first to win championships in three weight classes during the co-main event of UFC Freedom 250 held in Washington, DC.
In that match, Pereira was knocked out by Gane, who subsequently became the interim heavyweight champion and is set for a rematch with Tom Aspinall. Despite the setback, Pereira will remain in the heavyweight division, with Glover Teixeira, his coach, supporting a potential fight against Josh Hokit as a title eliminator.
Teixeira expressed confidence in Pereira's ability to reclaim a title shot, suggesting that a bout with Hokit, who has been vocal in targeting Pereira, would be a strategic move. Hokit has since responded on social media, demanding a fight with either Gane for the title or Pereira, emphasizing his commitment to delivering an exciting match.
